February 21st is the begin of Lent (Ash Wednesday).  Lent is a season of preparation leading up to Easter.  It is the forty days plus the six Sundays before Easter.  For centuries, it has been observed as a special time of self examination and penitence.  This year during Lent we will be studying the verse in the Gospel of John that reads: So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:31-32).  The question we will ask ourselves is this: "Am I continuing in Jesus' words"?
